Job Summary
The Baker prepares a variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods, adhering to food quality and food safety standards. They measure and mix ingredients, operate and maintain baking equipment, and monitor baking processes. Adhere to product recipes and standards.
Essential Function & Responsibilities

Prepare and bake breads, rolls, cakes, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods.

Set oven temperatures and monitor baking times to ensure product quality.

Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and other kitchen equipment.

Follow standardized recipes and quality standards.

Decorate or finish baked goods when required.

Maintain clean work areas, tools, and equipment.

Follow food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations.

Monitor inventory levels and assist with ingredient preparation or stocking.

Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to meet production demands.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Food Production Skills to effectively execute baking processes and adhere to pastry recipes.

Food Safety and Sanitation Knowledge to maintain product quality and safety standards.

Simple Mathematics Knowledge to understand measuring tools and timing equipment.

Equipment Safety Knowledge to safely operate ovens, mixers, and other kitchen equipment.
Experience & Education:

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

1 – 2 years of work experience in culinary related occupations.
Physical Requirement:

Be capable of standing and operating kitchen equipment for long hours in the pastry kitchen.
