Job Summary
The Quality Control Systems Manager drafts, enacts, and coordinates quality assurance programs to ensure product and process quality standards, adhering to organizational, regulatory, and customer standards. This position develops quality improvement policies and leads to quality improvement initiatives to improve company product and service quality.
Essential Function & Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and manage quality control programs and systems across production and operational environments.

Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality assurance manuals, and inspection processes.

Monitor performance of quality control systems to comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Cease production and processes if serious defects are identified.

Analyze quality control test results and convey these results to upper management and relevant departments.

Verify that raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products meet defined testing and inspection criteria.

Produce reports on quality standard metrics, performance data, and defect trends among materials.

Coordinate with vendors and staff to procure company resources.

Inform and develop quality control staff and vendors on quality procedures and expectations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Quality Control Analysis for conducting inspections and evaluating testing results.

Monitoring for assessing performance of processes, systems, and staff to ensure standards are met.

Time Management Skills to facilitate reports and audits.

Coordination and communication skills to delegate tasks to staff and coordinate with vendors.

Critical thinking skills for identifying quality deficiencies and implementing remedies.

Understanding ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001), Six Sigma, or Lean quality methodologies.
Experience & Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a business, management, or administration-related field.

3 – 5 years of experience with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001), Six Sigma, or Lean quality methodologies. Must be currently ISO certified.

5 – 7 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, production oversight, or related leadership roles preferred.

ServSafe Certification is required
Physical Requirement:

Most of the job is performed in an administrative setting, so prolonged sitting is common. Navigation between company storage areas may be required.

Light lifting may be required for documents and storage supplies.

The ability to read documents or computer screens is required. The ability to hear for meetings, phone calls, and interacting with staff is required. The ability to inspect material quality is required.

Repeated movements such as the use of a keyboard are required for the role.
